Focus Softnet has officially launched Focus AI at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, bringing agentic artificial intelligence directly into Focus X. The launch introduces AI agents designed to understand business goals, reason through defined processes and execute tasks autonomously within business-defined permissions, guardrails and approval workflows — moving ERP from software businesses operate to software that works alongside them.
Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Focus AI enables its agents to interact with business data and applications within Focus X. At the centre of the platform is AI Agent Studio, a no-code environment that allows users to create AI agents through a guided wizard using plain-language instructions.
Once deployed, agents can respond to defined business events and execute assigned tasks according to the rules established by the organization. Guardrails, permissions and approvals help keep agent-driven actions controlled, visible and auditable.
The initial Focus AI capabilities demonstrate how agentic AI can reshape everyday work across finance, operations and reporting. A Transaction Chatbot allows users to query and analyse transactions using natural language. Scan to Post can read vendor invoices and automatically post the relevant information, reducing manual data entry. An AI Invoice Designer converts a scanned invoice printout into a print design, while the AI Report Designer can create and customize reports based on a plain-language description of the required output.
Focus AI also extends interaction with Focus X beyond the traditional ERP interface. Users can issue natural-language commands through Web and WhatsApp, access a unified AI dashboard for predictions and recommended actions, and use AI-powered prompts within documents to surface contextual insights and trigger relevant tasks.
Together, these capabilities represent a shift from AI that simply answers questions to AI that can participate in business processes and, where authorized, take action.
The launch marks Focus Softnet's next step in embedding intelligence directly into the core of enterprise software rather than treating AI as an additional layer around it. With Focus AI, businesses can move beyond understanding what is happening in their operations toward having intelligent agents help determine what needs to happen next — and execute defined actions within the controls of the business.
